This is my GIANT mixed media drawing. It has acrylic, watercolor, oil pastel, and all sorts of pens and markers. Six feet by five feet of stretched canvas on a big old frame that cost me lotsa money to build. Self-portrait of myself, from the inside out.

Hiii.
My name is Becky Miller. I am a 20 yr old Psychology and Graphic Design student at the College of St Scholastica in Duluth, Mn. This just happens to be my DeviantArt page, that I love so much =)
I sort of have a lot of different interests as far as my artwork goes. I love traditional art like drawing and painting, the kind of stuff I have been doing ALL my life. But I also have an interest in photography and especially photomanipulation. I am also into design, hence the Graphic Design major.
I like bright colors and high contrast. I like splatter and drips. And I really really love EYES and faces. You will find my interpretations and ideas of all of these things in my gallery =)so LOOOOOOOKK

Well well well...
I have submitted a lot more lately. Ive been doing a lot of drawing and painting. Im not sure if im going to submit all of it...I suppose I might as well. I have so much stuff thats just sitting in my portfolio that I could probably submit. A part of me hates that my gallery is such a mix of things. But when I think about it thats my life and thats who I am and thats what I do. I like to create all sorts of things. I seem to go in and out of certain things though.
Idk it just kinda makes my gallery look trashy. lol.
Im currently trying to study for my summer online stats class and every time i sit down and try to start reading I get the urge to draw and paint. Its hard to resist when I dont want to study and also when I feel inspired. I've sold five paintings so far this summer though so thats good i guess...
I bought a new camera. Canon Rebel XS. Im sick of my two shitty digital cameras. I have my dad's camera when im home... but even that isnt as nice as I want it to be. It does take pretty good pictures though. But hopefully i get my studying done before the camera gets here. I should have paid for faster shipping... im so impatient and its been over a week!!! I still need to develop two rolls of film from my fish eye and split cam... I dont see that happening any time soon though. It costs too much. I really think there will be some sweet pictures though. Whenever I get around to that I will submit the better ones.
But... when the camera comes there will be loads of new pictures. Including getting back to editing self portraits which i love to do. =) because its so much easier to get the picture you want when your the one taking it and the one modeling in it. haha. I am also going to be doing some stuff with my best friend ale and her tattoos and stuff... we have plans. Hopefully more of Marie too...And there will also be more biking pictures. =)
Im still working on one more huge painting this summer.... but i havent even stretched the canvas yet...im just not so excited to start priming. I like the painting part because its messy but... cleaning up sucks.
okay im done.
back to studying. =p
